Almanach: A published volume that collates information about a particular subject - texts, charts, tables, figures, facts, warnings, stories.
A menagerie of individuals who transform natural, elemental materials into music are choreographed in a hypnotic, shamanic dance of bodies, sounds, and landscapes. Through long-honed skills of playing stone, shells, clay, wood, and air, these characters act as connecting nodes between traditions, histories, craft practices, and nations. In Almanach phenomena are gathered to reverberate together in a hypnotic and constantly expanding audio-visual composition.

A hybrid mix of docu-fiction, music video, and experimental performance, this film interweaves staged and impromptu encounters across multiple landscapes. These musicians become nodes between traditions, histories, craft practices, and nations, connecting through the elemental forces of stone, wood, air, bamboo, shell, and clay. Their performances unfold like a hypnotic, shamanic dance, where bodies, landscapes, and sound resonate in ever-expanding echoes. Featuring Boris MĂĽller, Jurgen Essl, Carlos Guiterrez Quiroga, and Tatiana LĂłpez Churata.Â
Shot across Germany, the UK, Finland, and Sweden in 2023–2024, the film employs a variety of formats—4K digital, 8mm, 360-degree video, 3D lidar scans, and digital animation—blurring the line between the tangible and the digital. Similarly, its sonic world mergesÂ
documentary, field recordings, voice messages, sampled dance music, foley, and electronic soundscapes, creating a fluid interplay between organic and synthetic sound.
Almanach also exists in a version for exhibition; Almanach Echoes.
This has been exhibited at Survival Kit Festival in Riga, and Forum Box Helsinki.
